Dr. James Chung

Dr. Chung is a foot and ankle surgeon serving the Northern Virginia area out of two office locations: Lake Ridge, VA and Stafford, VA. He specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery including minimally invasive bunion surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, sports medicine, trauma, and diabetic foot care. Dr. Chung aspires to deliver the highest quality care to his patients with a patient-centered approach, effective communication, and compassion.

Dr. Chung earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City where he graduated in the top 10 of his class with Cum Laude honors while receiving numerous scholarships and awards. Dr. Chung went on to complete his residency at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Northern Virginia. During training, he earned Resident of the Year honors and served as Chief Resident. His training focused on complex surgical reconstruction of the foot & ankle including total ankle replacement surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, arthroscopic surgery, and Charcot foot reconstruction. He is active in research and is an author of a number of publications and posters in peer-reviewed journals and national conferences.
