Dr. Gabrielle Uptegraph

Dr. Gabrielle Uptegraph is a dedicated and board-certified podiatrist practicing at Lake Ridge and Stafford Foot & Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic (FASMA) in Lake Ridge and Stafford, Virginia.



Originally from Lititz in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Dr. Uptegraph discovered her passion for podiatry after her own experience as a podiatric patient highlighted the profound impact a skilled podiatrist can have on a person’s quality of life. With an early love for science and anatomy, she was drawn to a career where she could build lasting relationships with her patients and help them feel and live better.

Dr. Uptegraph earned her undergraduate degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania before completing her medical education at Temple School of Podiatric Medicine. She went on to complete her foot and ankle surgical residency at Inova, where she received advanced training in complex reconstruction, including ankle replacements and procedures in collaboration with plastic and reconstructive surgery. She finds reconstruction especially fulfilling and has a particular interest in treating symptomatic bunions.

She is board certified and a proud member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).

Now living in Alexandria, Virginia, Dr. Uptegraph enjoys an active lifestyle outside the office. She’s an accomplished runner, having qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2023, and she continues to push her fitness goals while also making time to read for both work and pleasure. In her downtime, you might find her fishing on the beach with her fiancé, who has tagged over 20 sharks as part of NOAA’s Cooperative Shark Tagging Program supporting the conservation of highly migratory species.

A fun fact about Dr. Uptegraph: Her first experience working with people was at her grandfather’s popcorn shop in Kitchen Kettle Village. What started as a retirement hobby for her grandparents blossomed into a full-time family business popping kettle corn and cinnamon-roasted almonds—an experience that taught her the joy of serving the community and building connections with new and returning customers alike.
